Group lessons (5-10 kids), private 1-on-1, or flexible small ratio classes 1:3 — choose what fits your schedule and budget. You can always switch formats later, no questions asked.
Share their age, experience level (zero is totally fine), any physical needs, and goals — whether that's 'just have fun' or 'compete one day.' A short form we actually read.
We review their profile and hand-pick a location that fits your child's personality and energy, plus a skill-level group where they'll feel comfortable — not overwhelmed or bored.
Every 60-minute session is built around games and challenges — not drills. Coaches celebrate effort over results. Falling is part of the process and every kid knows that here.
Most kids land their first trick within 2–3 sessions. But the bigger shift is confidence — kids who skate learn to try, fall, and get back up. You'll notice it fast.
At Project Rad, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn skateboarding in a safe, supportive environment. That's why we provide skateboards, require safety equipment, and employ certified and vetted coaches who teach kids to fall properly, progress at their own pace, and build real confidence — all while keeping the focus on our Edmonton community and fun over profit.
Our coaches are deeply involved in the local scene—organizing events, giving back through donations, and creating spaces where kids feel welcome, encouraged, and empowered to grow.

Our lessons are designed for kids ages 5-17. We tailor each session to match the child's developmental stage and skill level. However, we do offer private lessons for adults. Send us an email if you're interested in private lessons!
Yes! We can provide skateboards. We also have different shapes and sizes to test out before you make the big purchases of buying a new board!
We offer skateboard lessons at public skateparks across Edmonton, including areas like Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Leduc, Beaumont, and communities throughout the city.
