Edmonton Summer Camps for Kids Who Want to Skateboard

Full-day skateboarding camps for ages 6–14. Two locations. All skill levels. No board needed.

Finding a summer camp that actually engages your kid — not just keeps them busy — is harder than it sounds. Project Rad Skateboarding Camps are built around real skill development, certified coaches, and small groups where every kid gets attention.

We run full-day camps at two Edmonton locations this summer. Here’s everything you need to know.

What a Day Looks Like

Every day includes 3–4 hours of skate time, split between guided instruction and free skating. The rest of the day rotates through:

  • Fingerboard jams and obstacle building
  • Creative crafts (ages 6–9) or team strategy games (ages 10–14)
  • Splash park time at Grovenor
  • Skate video watching with popcorn

Kids are grouped by age (6–9 and 10–14) for skate sessions, so everyone is with peers at a similar level. Days are structured in one-hour blocks so kids stay engaged without burning out.

Why Parents Choose Project Rad

Certified, vetted coaches. Our founder has 14+ years of skating experience, a Skateboard Canada coaching certification, and 8+ years working with youth. All staff are screened and vetted!

Small groups. Max 20 kids per day, 1:5 staff-to-kid ratio. Your child isn’t lost in a crowd.

No pressure environment. No teams, no scoring, no comparing. Kids work at their own pace and celebrate their own progress.

Flexible booking. Book one day or multiple — no weekly commitment required.

Common Questions

Does my kid need their own gear? No. We provide skateboards and helmets. Bring closed-toe shoes, lunch, and a water bottle.

What if my kid is shy? Our coaches are experienced with anxious kids. We create low-pressure environments and celebrate effort over results.

What if it rains? Both of our camps this summer have indoor facilities, so we will have activities for the kids rain or shine!
