School’s back. So are the colder days. All summer, we run our skateboard classes across Greater Edmonton outdoors, at spots like St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Century Park, Capilano, and Strathcona, but that season’s done now. Fall skateboard classes are back at Foam Fighters, and we’re staying there again this season.

We’re grateful for that, and we don’t take it for granted. Foam Fighters is Edmonton’s indoor skatepark, and it’s not just a space to skate. It’s a space that stays dry and warm when Edmonton drops to -20°C, and Foam Fighters has been genuinely generous in making indoor skateboarding in Edmonton possible for our kids and families.

Indoor skateboard lessons

New this season: 8-week blocks

We’re moving our skateboard classes to an 8-week schedule this fall. Not open drop-in sessions anymore, a full block you register for up front.

Why the change? Facility time at our indoor skatepark is limited, and we want every skater to get real, tracked progress out of their spot, not just a loose series of one-off hours. An 8-week block gives us that structure, and it gives you a clear start and end point to measure how far your skater has come.

Here’s what’s available in our fall skateboard classes:

Private Lessons

1 hour a week, 8 weeks, $400. One-on-one coaching built around your skater’s goals and pace.

Group Lessons

1 hour a week, 8 weeks, $200. Skaters learning side by side, building skills and confidence together.

New: The Accelerator Program

2 sessions a week at 30 minutes each, 8 weeks, $480. (16 private lessons for $480)

This one’s new, and it’s built differently on purpose. Instead of one longer lesson, skaters get two focused 30-minute pushes each week. We teach hard and specific in that half hour, then send them off to practice on their own before the next session.

It’s for the self-driven kid. The one who wants the lesson, then wants to go figure it out alone. If that’s your skater, this program was built for them.

Pricing isn’t changing

September through December, our skateboard class pricing stays exactly where it was, even with the added overhead of the new schedule. Foam Fighters has been generous with us. We want to pass that generosity forward, not eat into it.

Registration opens mid-to-late August

Spots in our fall skateboard classes are limited by what the facility can hold, so register early if you can, especially for the Accelerator program. Use our online form on our lessons page or reach out via text/email at info@projectrad.ca or 780-860-8799.

Need something for a PD Day instead? We’ve got full-day camps at Foam Fighters for Edmonton Public and Catholic schools too.
